A little bit about me
I discovered yoga in 2009 whilst studying at university and it changed my life.
I have been practicing yoga for over 10 years and have explored various styles, lineages and teachers, thus broadening my knowledge and awareness of yoga. I have learned from some truly inspiring teachers who are doing amazing work within the community.
My experiences have shaped the teacher I am today and the approach I take to yoga. Yoga should be safe, fun and inclusive. I do not believe in an aesthetic alignment, strict protocols or forceful teaching.
Within my sessions I encourage students to explore variations of movement and poses, to connect with their own bodies and find what feels right for them. I invite students to explore sensation, to slow down and move mindfully, find balance and to connect with their breath, mind and body.
Outwith teaching, I love the wild and living a life that is attuned to the seasons and cycles of nature. Being outdoors both re-energizes and grounds me. Practicing rituals in honour of nature and the moon give me a sense of connection and reason.
I am passionate about sustainability, social justice, minimalism and animal rights. I love cooking real, whole foods (even better if it’s on the fire outside!) for loved ones. I embrace the slower life, gardening, walking, creating and spending time with my cat Gemma.
